Patricia Ambrose - Chair of Governors

Patricia Ambrose is Chair of Governors and also chairs the Finance and Personnel Committee. She first became a governor when her daughter was a pupil at Newington Green and has stayed on the Governing Body as a Community Governor (now a co-opted governor) for the last few years. Patricia works in higher education policy and research and has particular interests in art education and in improving education opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Andrew Bosi

I have been an LEA governor since November 2nd, 1981. I do some voluntary numeracy to support a small group of year 6 pupils, and am the lead governor on numeracy. I currently teach some statistics at Hertfordshire University, I write cricket reports, I umpire in the Chess Valley League, I sing in a Gregorian chant choir. I have lived within fifteen minutes' walk of the school since March 1978.

Mark Boyle - Vice chair and chair of R&R committee

Mark has been a Governor at Rotherfield for over 10 years. He is a Partner at Ernst & Young, a major international professional services firm. Mark lives in Highbury with his wife and two young children. When not at work or performing taxi services for his family, Mark’s favourite place to be is surfing (badly!) in Cornwall.

Abi Misselbrook-Lovejoy - Executive Headteacher

In February 2017 Abi became the Executive Head over Rotherfield Primary School, and Newington Green. In this new role Abi is accountable for the improvement of both schools, and is assisted in this by Jo Jones, who is Rotherfield's Head of School.​  In 2019 Abi won the Islington Headteacher of the Year award.

Tobias Davidson

I first got to know Rotherfield in 2014, while I was supervising the works for the new entrance. I was delighted to be invited to join the board of governors a little over a year later, and I am now a full member of the board.

As an architect, I very much support the steps Abi is taking to ensure that the school provides the best possible learning environment for the children - I'm very impressed by the work so far.

But I'm not just interested in the buildings. I am particularly keen to support Rotherfield in its aim to provide a rounded education and opportunities for the children to shine outside the core curriculum. Government policy puts a big focus on children achieving specific competencies in what we used to call the three Rs (reading, 'writing and 'rithmatic) and, quite rightly, Rotherfield aspires to provide the very best teaching in these subjects. So it's exciting to see the school nurturing other gifts and enthusiasms with initiatives such as the fantastic new art provision.

Outside work, I have sung in choirs for as long as I can remember so I know that singing is a great activity for all sorts of reasons - mental, social (and physical too!) - and I look forward to seeing music becoming an increasingly important part of the school's identity.

Charlie Radcliffe - Safeguarding Governor

Charlie has worked in Credit and Political Risk Insurance at BPL Global in London since 2008, having joined directly from university. He works on a number of European clients. Charlie studied European Languages and has a Master’s degree from both Edinburgh University and Oxford University.

He was born in Battersea and now lives in Highbury with his wife and son and has a passion for literature and football.

Linda Wickstrom - Co-opted Governor

Linda is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) professional with ten years’ experience in the industry, working both in house and as a consultant. Her current role is as Grant Giving and Engagement Lead within the technology consultancy Accenture UK’s Corporate Citizenship team, where she manages a number of multi-stakeholder partnerships, employee engagement programmes and provides support for charities to innovate digitally. Linda has previously held roles at the City of London Corporation, working in a consultant capacity to support City businesses to set up new CSR programmes and managing a CSR award scheme on behalf of the Lord Mayor of City of London. Linda has also worked within the charity sector, supporting corporate partnerships and engagement. In her spare time Linda enjoys travelling, cooking, skiing and surfing.

Rebecca Wolff - Parent Governor and Safeguarding Governor

With a background as Head of Development at a tv and film production company Rebecca Wolff went freelance as a producer in 2012. In her first year as a producer she produced a short film through the BFI Shorts scheme. Since then she has gone one to produce a number of short films with funding from Creative England and BFI. In 2015 she formed Grasp The Nettle Films Ltd. with creative and business partner Dean Puckett and alongside the fiction shorts they have also made a short documentary for The Guardian about an autistic rock band, a feature documentary that is in development with Creative England and two fiction feature films in early stages of development.

Alongside her work in film Rebecca spent two years working part time at local boat club charity Islington Boat Club as both Bookings Manager and project co-ordinator for their programmes working with the elderly and people with special educational needs. This included creating the programmes which people would sign up to and doing outreach in the communities as well as reporting back to funders on achievement of required targets.

Yuval Yashiv - Co-opted Governor

Yuval is co-founder and CEO of IRISS Medical Technologies, a company operating in the ophthalmic devices area. Prior to that Yuval was a technology industry executive having served as CEO of software company Pixology Plc and as a venture capitalist at Eurovestech Plc. Prior to that Yuval was Finance Director of Gerber Foods Group, a manufacturer of fruit juices and other food products. Yuval also spent 4 years in education, teaching Physics at GCSE and sixth form levels.

Yuval holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from London Business School and has been living in the UK for over 25 years.
