Maths Mornings:
Every half term, parents are invited into school for a Maths Morning. Each session begins with a half hour workshop in which I explain what your child is learning and share a range of games and resources for you to take away and enjoy using at home. You then have the opportunity to visit your child's classroom and join in their lesson.

Calculation Policies
Pupils are taught different mental and written methods according to the year group or level they are working at. The calculation policies below demonstrate the methods taught for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and show how they build upon each other year upon year.
Useful Websites
Playing online games can be a great way for children to practise and consolidate their skills. The ones listed below are particularly good:
https://www.mathsisfun.com/ - this website explains different topics very clearly and has some games for pupils to practise what they have learnt.
https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/subjects/zjxhfg8 - (Key Stage 1) this has videos to explain the topic and games to practise.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/maths/ - (Key Stage 2) this will give information about the topic and then has a quiz and game to practise.
https://www.topmarks.co.uk/Interactive.aspx?cat=8 - a search engine that is great for finding maths games. Select
Key Stage 1 or 2 and the area of maths you want to focus on.
There are also some amazing resources on the LGfL website, which your child has their own username and password to access. Ask your child's teacher for another copy if their login details have gone missing.
Maths at Home - aimed at parents, this has short videos explaining what your child is learning so you can better support them at home.
Busy Things - great games for each area of maths.
Homework
All pupils from Reception to Year 6 have their own DoodleMaths and DoodleTables account. Teachers assign tasks to embed the week's learning and pupils are expected to spend 10 minutes, 3 times per week completing their homework.
